Dragonflies and Plants at Cors y Llyn
Event details
Ynglŷn â'r digwyddiad
Enjoy a stroll around Cors y Llyn Nature Reserve. The reserve consists of wildflower meadows and two basins formed by glacial activity scouring away the rock during the ice ages. As the ice retreated these filled with water and emergent plants. This boggy habitat is called a 'mire'.
Bronwen Jenkins and Martin Moore will help to identify plants and dragonflies as we wander round.
There is limited parking at the reserve so we will be meeting in Newbridge on Wye first. Please book via Eventbrite to ensure you get the full meeting location details. Please do not go straight to the reserve.
Please dress appropriately for the weather forecast and sturdy footwear. You may like to bring food and drink. Access to open water areas is limited, binoculars are recommended for viewing dragonflies. A hand lens and notebook may be useful.
Sorry this walk/activity is not appropriate for dogs.
