Ynglŷn â'r digwyddiad

Saving Wales’ most vulnerable wildlife is a key objective in the national flagship green recovery programme Natur am Byth.

And on February 18th we'll be delighted to welcome the local Natur am Byth team, Tawny Clark and Matt Cooke to introduce us to the exciting projects right on our doorstep!

There'll be news of our astonishing wildlife rarities and a look at what action's been taken during the first year working on Gower and the wider Swansea area.

Tawny said “Join us as we journey into nature, uncover some of Swansea Bay’s most enigmatic wildlife, and hopefully inspire you to become part of the Natur am Byth story.’

Tawny is Project Manager for Natur am Byth’s Swansea Bay Coast, Commons and Communities project. An ecologist, conservationist and nature writer, with over 20 years’ experience in environmental consultancy and conservation, she’s previously worked on ARC’s Connecting the Dragons project.

Tawny volunteers with local wildlife groups and nature projects across Wales and can often be found exploring the wondrous habitats of Gower, staring at trees and ponds, rockpools and clifftops.

Alongside her will be Matt Cooke, who has a dual role with Natur am Byth, as Swansea Bay Project Officer and Adder Action Officer. He spent ten years in the education team at WWT Llanelli; latterly as Learning Manager and he worked as a Lecturer in Environmental Awareness at Swansea University.

Doors open at 7.15pm when we’ll be serving refreshments so aim to arrive early for a cuppa and a chat before the talk starts at 7.30pm. We ask for a minimum donation of £1 per adult please, payable in cash or by card on the night.

The hall is fully accessible, with disabled parking spaces close by and accessible toilets. Assistance dogs only, on leads. There is free parking in the church car park, or if busy, on side roads nearby.

When your booking is confirmed, we'd be grateful if you take the opportunity to complete a short equality, diversity and inclusion form for Natur am Byth.
