Skomer Shearwater Week is back for its 12th year in 2026. Come and join us to talk all things Shearwater on one of our two night stays, 30th August-1st September, 1st-3rd September and 3rd-5th September.

During your two night stay, you’ll be given a talk by our researchers, go on a night walk with one of our staff and look at rafting shearwaters at dusk. A two night stay not to be missed!

This event is £116 (half-price for under-12s) plus an additional boat fee. To book, please call the booking office on 01656 724100, Mon-Thurs, 9am-12pm and 1pm-4pm when booking opens on 8th December. Please email skomer.vo@welshwildlife.org with any queries.

Due to the sensitive nature of the island, we are unable to allow any dogs, even guide dogs. Chaperoning is available on request for those who require it.

Pack for all weathers! We recommend bringing waterproofs, layers, sunglasses and a hat. Binoculars are useful but can be hired for £5 a pair on arrival.
