At the beginning of the month, I visited Rhiw Syr Daffyd Primary School for a session to celebrate Sir David Attenborough’s 100th birthday. I helped year 5 and 6 to create nature documentaries about the wildlife in their school, We found Mining Bees, a Newt, and lots of spiders! We also watched some clips of Sir David Attenborough in Zooquest in 1954!
- On the 17th I attended Talgarth refugee Welcome Event with Hope not Hate. I ran pond dipping and bug hunting activities. We enjoyed some brilliant music, incredible food, and some fantastic nature!

- On the 20th I ran a bioblitz event with Bannau Brycheiniog National Park and the Biodiversity Information Service. We brought together landowners from across the National park as well as a team of county recorders. We managed to increase the number of records on the site by 25%. But more importantly, we helped landowners to feel more confident recording and supporting the wildlife they share their land with.
- Finally, I had a fabulous time building bird boxes at Llanddew community center. The boxes will be put up in the community center and church grounds, creating a home for wildlife in the village. (I have photo permission for the photos of the children ) A huge thank you to Bannau Brycheiniog National Park for funding the boxes!
