Back in April of 2020, the five Wildlife Trusts in Wales joined forces to undertake an ambitious project. The aim was to build a network of young people to tackle the climate and ecological crises head-on. Over the course of 6 years, we worked to empower young people to act for nature and wildlife in their local area. In this youth-led initiative, our members got to decide what action they wanted to see in their communities. Ideas ranged from learning more about wildlife to building environmental campaigns. Our members were able to meet like-minded young people and build skills to help them continue standing for nature beyond the project.

Our Forums

We delivered the Stand for Nature project in two locations across our range, developing youth forums in coastal Ceredigion and in central Cardiff. Although the project has come to an end, our forums are still active and working to engage young people with nature. Follow the links below if you’re interested to see what we’ve achieved in our youth forums, and to find out how to get involved!
