What do you want your legacy to be?

A gift in your Will ensures your legacy lives on in the wildlife and wild places you love most.

The Wildlife Trust of South & West Wales is a charity dedicated to protecting the region’s most precious wild places for people and wildlife. But, we couldn’t protect Welsh wildlife – our special seabirds, rare Red Squirrels and magnificent marine life - without your support.

Every gift we receive helps us to continue our vital work to restore nature across the region and connect people with wildlife in Wales. Once you’ve provided for your loved ones, a gift in your Will to WTSWW ensures your love of wildlife lives on.

Every gift in every Will, however large or small, makes a huge difference.

Marion's legacy

Thanks to a generous gift from Marion Price we were able to create a new nature reserve in Ceredigion, Rhos Marion. Her gift enabled us to buy 7 hectares of species-rich grassland next to two existing nature reserves. Marion's legacy lives on in the orchids and butterflies flourishing on the reserve.

Colin’s legacy

Colin Vyvyan a committed volunteer at Lavernock Point Nature Reserve with a passion for butterflies. Colin left a gift in his Will to improve habitat for butterflies and to inspire people to love wildlife in the same way he had. Colin's legacy lives on in the beautiful butterflies that can be enjoyed by all across our reserves.

Megan's legacy

Megan Jones kindly left a gift in her Will which enabled us to install 50 nest boxes across our reserves in Ceredigion. These boxes have provided a safe place for Kestrels, Barn Owls and Tawny Owls to breed. Megan's legacy lives on in the birds of prey that call Teifi Marshes and Cwm Clettwr home.

Karen’s legacy

Renovation of Parc Slip Visitor Centre was made possible in part thanks to a gift from a dedicated volunteer, Karen Morris. Her gift helped to improve the visitor centre and nature reserve that she had known so well. Karen's legacy lives on in every visitor who gets to enjoy the beauty of Parc Slip.

Securing Skokholm's future

Without gifts in Wills The Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales wouldn't have been able to purchase the last piece of Skokholm Island in 2013. This included the lighthouse and the surrounding land which is a delicate honeycomb of nesting burrows, home to Puffins and Manx Shearwaters. Thanks to this legacy, we were able to secure the future of these special seabirds.

Already included a gift for wildlife in your Will?

If you've already given a gift to The Wildlife Trust of South & West Wales in your Will, and you're happy to let us know about it, we'd love to hear from you. There's no obligation to tell a charity that you've included a gift in your Will. But by letting us know, it helps us to better plan our work in the future and we can let you know how your gift will make a huge difference to wildlife and wild places in Wales.

Tell us about your gift by getting in touch with our Legacy Officer at m.johns@welshwildlife.org
