February Half Term Is Almost Here!
Our Welsh Wildlife Centre team have planned an exciting range of indoor and outdoor nature & craft activities to keep the family happy, whatever the weather!
Starting on 14th February until 16th February 2024 activities are suitable for children aged 3+ and cost just £4 each. Adults may also pay to participate in the craft activities too!
Wednesday 14th February 2024
11:30am-12:30pm Mini-beast Champions- discover what types of habitats mini-beasts need on our mini-beast hunt then make your own mini-beast home to take away.
1:30-3:30pm- Craft session- Come and paint a tea-light holder, plant pot, wooden animal or other item to take home.
Thursday 15th February 2024
11:30am-12:30pm Bird Walk & Make a Feeder. Identify birds around the nature reserve then make a cool bird feeder to take away for your garden.
1:30pm-3:30pm Decoupage a Tea-Light Holder. Come and try your hand at decoupage to make a lovely tea-light holder. All materials, instruction and a battery or candle tea-light included in the price.
Friday 16th February 2024
11:30am- 12:30pm Winter Woodland Family Fun. Learn to identify trees in winter by the buds, catkins and bark on this winter woodland walk. Join in our nature themed activities such as making tree guardians, nature art or den building.
1:30-3:30pm - Upcycling/ Junk Modelling. An event where you can let your imagination run wild and transform every day ‘junk’ into something fresh, funky and/or useful!
